I call this Circle Chains. This wall quilt was made almost 5 years ago, and hung over a landing in our kitchen for years – see picture below.
This was before my FMQ days. I used a walking foot to quilt a few lines – just enough to hold it all together. This was before I “discovered” how to enhance a quilt by quilting. Every time I walked by it – which was several times a day – I’d pause and think about how to quilt it and make it better. Finally, after all these years, I pulled it off the wall and loaded it on my frame. Just three hours later, I had a much better looking wall quilt!

Great quilt made better. Excellent use of color and transitions in a classic design. Once again your quilting blows me away. Subtle, sensible and really enhances the original design. Well done!
It looks great and a perfect location to hang it. Thank you for linking up with me.
Oh my, that is lovely! It’s so pretty hanging on your wall!
It really is amazing how much actual quilting adds to a quilt isn’t it. I just love seeing the difference each time I quilt one. Yours turned out super gorgeous.
Definitely enhanced the quilt. Did you repin it or take the binding off? Is this done on your domestic machine? It really is stunning.
its almost like a new piece of artwork! Great job!!!
Hi Vasudha! Wow – what a difference more quilting made on this piece. It’s nice that the quilt could be patient and wait for you to grow and feel confident in your skills. It really shines now, don’t you think?! And to think it’s only waited five years – it could have been much longer. I’m glad you took the challenge it offered you each time you passed by! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Wonderful quilting & what a difference it has made. Love it. Take care.
Wow….the quilting made a huge difference!! Congratulations on taking it back to the machine!!!
