I made Hearts Together early this year for a blog hop hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. The pattern for Hearts Together appears in Quilt Stories – a digital quilt magazine published in India.
At this time, the magazine is a free download. Be sure to download this issue and subscribe for future issues.
This is a wonderful magazine with patterns, tutorials, features about quilters and a lovely section called “Show and tell” where readers share their recent work. It is a unique magazine solely focussed on promoting and celebrating this art form. Every quilt is unique, and as expected, heavily influenced by Indian arts and crafts that are decades or centuries old. Yet, each quilt is fresh and modern, reflecting the creativity of the quilter and the world she lives in currently.
When I posted this for the blog hop, I was undecided on how to quilt it. I first quilted straight lines to “trace” and emphasize the heart design. In the background, I first quilted a swath of feathers, swirls and pebbles along on diagonal and then added straight lines all around.
Beautiful!
Love the subtle beauty of your quilting.

What a beautiful quilt, and your quilting is spectacular. Love your use of the Pantone colors and the offset placement of the hearts, the Celtic look – I love it all!
