How did Q2 go?
Done:
April Flowers
Diamond Showers
Hopscotch Tiles
Circular – IB modern May
Circle Chains
Fabric weaving – IB June

Not Done:
Quilting Bali Sunrise
Finishing the Modern Plus Sign quilt top
Score: 6/8 πŸ™‚
These are my goals for the Q3 FAL.

1. Interference: A fellow Houston Modern Quilt Guild member Heather Wassaf designs fabric. This is a sample using her latest line. Reminds me of electromagnetic wave patterns showing constructive and destructive interference.
2. Island Batik July challenge using Aurifil thread, blue and pink IB fabric and a peacock inspired by Indian folk art. I sketched this design on a long drive during our vacation last week. I’ll probably stick to this design and make it with applique and FMQ.
3. Island Batik August project uses this new line called Quiet Shades. The subtle colors are a bit out of my comfort zone but I have a cool design. Planned and cutting has begun. Design wall cleared and ready for this project. See IB’s spring collection here.
4. Secret project using this IB fabric for a magazine publication. That’s all I can say πŸ™‚
5. Toiletry bag for my husband using a blue from IB and a blue PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) fabric. I’m going for a super simple design. I may make it into a tutorial if it works well.
6. Possible fabric pull for the Island September project – it has to be “juvenile-inspired” and use a specific AccuQuilt die. I’m thinking of making two small quilts for two little boys whose mom lived in our neighborhood and babysat my kids years ago.
7. UFO busting: This one is from August 2017 – Make progress on this HST quilt using Amy Butler layer cake. Dare I hope to finish the quilt top?

Hi Vashudha! I just adore that last project and it’s a UFO that just needs to be completed. Some fab HSTs are just calling out (I can hear them) and saying you only need a few more for a quilt top! I know your other goals are must-dos for IBA but come on . . . throw the HSTs a bone and attention. Can’t wait to see all of these! ~smile~ Roseanne

It was like watching trailers for several thriller movies. So much anticipation…how will it end? Will she? Won’t she? Wishing you good luck and looking forward to each and every one of your projects and posts πŸ™‚
